I began my automotive career in 1986 at the age of 17 at a local
transmission shop. Since then, I have been in the repair industry in
one way or another almost continually. From the late 80's through the mid 90's,
I worked in, and then managed, a successful independent auto repair garage. I was also a
pit mechanic with local racing legend C.D. Coville. In the mid 90's,
a detour to coastal Connecticut gave me experience repairing and upgrading powerboats
and sailboats. Upon leaving the marine industry in '02 and returning to New York, I worked with various
dealerships in the area, both as Assistant Service Manager and as
Technician.
After experiences with both Foreign and Domestic dealers, I
decided that there was a better way to repair cars and treat
customers. I started FK Autoworks with the support of my family as a
way to provide
customers the service they deserve at prices they can afford. While I
specialize in German cars, I enjoy challenges and will tackle any
repair needs you have on any vehicle. Additionally, I still consult with several
local dealers and assist them with their difficult technical repairs so if you have a persistent problem that no dealer can solve, give me a call.
